Course 123 - Divine Forgiveness (Part 2) Lesson 3

“Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony (to marturion) of our Lord, or of me His prisoner; but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God” (2 Tim.1:8).

Notice the difference between what Paul commands and what he encourages. Paul encourages Timothy – “do not be ashamed” but commands Timothy - to "join with me in suffering for the gospel”.
